Sporting Injuries

Participating in sport can bring fun and challenge into your life, so having a sporting injury can cause stress.


In my practice, I often come across someone presenting with lower back pain and on further investigation find congestion and scar tissue in the hamstring, usually from an old sporting injury. It is always a good idea to receive sports massage following a hamstring injury. Because the hamstrings attach onto the pelvis, if they don't have enough length or flexibility, they can restrict movement in the pelvis and as a result cause tension in the lower back muscles.
